Mental well-being

Mental well-being indicates satisfaction with one’s quality of life. It means accepting yourself and others, positive relationships and a feeling that your life is meaningful. Mental well-being helps to manage occasional anxiety, and supports coping in everyday life.

You can take care of your own mental well-being in many ways. Mental health is protected by factors such as studying or working, talking about emotions and concerns, and the ability to solve problems and conflicts. Good relationships with friends and family, as well as self-acceptance and the sense of being accepted, help maintaining mental well-being. In addition, self-actualization and the expression of emotions, e.g. through hobbies, support mental health.
